Trade & Bulk Manager – Sandton

Our clients, working in the Imports sector are looking to recruit International Trade & Bulk Manager to join their team based in Sandton.


R35,000 p/m





- In depth knowledge and understanding of global shipping operations including of bulk, break-bulk, project cargo, ocean , road , warehousing and distribution.

-   In depth knowledge of logistics supply chain solutions, containerised, dry bulk and bulk.

-   Goal and performance driven, meeting deadlines and to get the right things done in time,

-   Extremely effective organisational, co – ordination, scheduling and planning skills.

-   Responsible decision maker who is self-motivated, self-assured and decisive.

-   Works unsupervised with strong will and independent nature.

-   Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively at all levels verbally and in writing.

-   Well-developed interpersonal skills, a specialist at relationship building.

-   Likes to run an operation where tangible and measurable results can be shown.

-   Problem solving in highly pressurised situations.

-   Ability to be flexible and adapt.

-   High level strategist.

-   Excellent sales closing ratio.

-   Operational management of a business unit delivering specialised project forwarding and clearing service to clients.

-   Ensure staff are engaged, empowered and motivated to deliver a customer service that will lead to improved financial performance.

-   Maintain sound relationships with internal and external clients, third party service providers and other stakeholders towards exceptional service delivery.

-   Manage expenditure of own business unit and provide inputs of continuous improvement.

-   Developing and execution of the energy operational strategy of South Africa.

-   Perform financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis of data.

-   Maximise the efficiency and productivity levels of all aspects of the operation.

-   Implementation, re- engineering and revising of processes and procedures of current and new processes and accounts.

-   Conduct logistic strategy workshops and reports for each project, formulating and implementing logistics strategies.
