Financial Manager - Honeydew

Our clients are looking for a reliable, competent and experienced Financial Manager that will manage, oversee, co-ordinate and analyse every day financial activities within the financial department and subsequently provide accurate and reliable financial statements for the operational companies of the group.


R60,000 p/m plus benefits

- Proven experience as a Financial Manager with at least 12 - 15 years of solid accounting experience.

- A min of 5 years’ experience as a manager.

- Very good people skills.

- Very good negotiation skills

- Extensive understanding of cross border financial transactions.

- Proficient user of Pastel Evolution, including Stock, Job Costing and warehousing as well as processing foreign financial transaction.

- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used and deadlines are met.

- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles

- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

- BCom / BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

- Professional qualification such as Professional Accountant or similar will be considered a plus

Financial Manager Responsibilities:

- Manage the finance department and staff to ensure objectives are attained and maintained.

- Manage and monitor deadline and timelines to ensure accurate and timeous reporting.

- Review current financial procedures and revise where required to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the desired expectations of the board.

- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to the Board of directors while recommending further courses of action.

- Advise on and provide strategies that the company should take

- Maintain the financial health of the organization.

- Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

- Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.

- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.

- Enhance and manage financial systems/models

- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.

- Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure

- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring and record keeping of company finances is maintained.

- Inter department and group company coordination and liaising on best practices to ensure harmonization and synchronization.

- Manage, guide and lead the financial team.

- Oversee all the required Tax and Vat related matters including filing of returns and reviewing audit and Tax related queries.

- Prepare for and oversee annual audits

- Multiple SA as well as African entities must be managed.
